J. Adam Browning has spent over a decade in the healthcare field, received his Master of Science in Nursing from Clemson University and is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner in Anderson, SC.
Prior to current role, Browning worked at AnMed Health Hospital in ICU, surgery and PACU, provided care to veterans at a long-term care facility for five years, and spent a year at Matrix Home Health. His past experience has allowed him to gain valuable health assessment skills and treat a wide variety of acute and chronic diseases.
Browning has always been fascinated with biology and human physiology, and says he was fortunate enough to be able to shadow workers in the healthcare field, which gave him his entry into medicine. Primary Care is indeed his first love, however, since it allows him to diagnose and treat disease as well as build relationships with “some really great people,” as he puts it.
Browning likes that he has an adequate amount of time to spend with patients so he can get to know them better. He believes in tailored treatment plans based on individual needs, and he makes sure to understand his patients’ concerns and answer all of their questions.
Browning’s hobbies include spending time with friends and family, watching UGA football, weight training, boating, and fishing. He has been married for eight years and is the proud father of twin preemie boys — born at just one and two pounds each! He is happy to report that the boys are now four years old and have been thriving since leaving NICU.
