Carol Harrington joined Partners in Primary Care in 2018, bringing over 30 years of experience working in the healthcare field.
She attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where she graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and the University of Missouri-Kansas City where she received her Master’s of Science in Nursing, as well as her Post-Graduate degree as a Nurse Practitioner. Carol specializes in Diabetes and Weight Management.
Carol Harrington chose a career in the healthcare industry because she knew very early on that her passion was to help people improve their lives. She chose to specialize in disease prevention because she believes that by guiding her patients to make healthy lifestyle changes, she can help them meet their long-term goals. Carol emphasizes the importance of patient satisfaction in her day-to-day by taking the time to listen to her patients’ concerns and teaming up with them to find different treatment options specific to their health needs.
Carol decided to join Partners in Primary Care, because she valued their multidisciplinary team and holistic approach to senior-focused primary care, and how it works hand-in-hand to address each one of her patient’s health concerns. She believes that the best provider-patient relationship begins with the patient as the team leader and the health care provider as their guide, who focuses on establishing an individualized treatment plan for the patient.
During her free time, Carol enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, playing pickle ball and working on her yard with her two dogs by her side.
