Wanda Haynes, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with 19 years’ experience in healthcare. She has worked in a wide range of clinical settings, including family medicine, internal medicine, mental health, aviation medicine, asthma and allergy, urgent care, and occupational medicine.
Through education and counseling, Wanda has provided health maintenance care, including annual physicals, taught positive behaviors and self-care skills. She is also well-versed in advanced treatment for individuals with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes. and has worked with seniors in most of these settings.
Each setting has given her new knowledge and experience that she is able to bring to her role at Partners. She’s enjoying the extra services here, too: onsite pharmacies and pharmacists, access to behavioral health coaches, referral coordinators – and especially the personalized time with patients.
Wanda always felt a calling to be in the medical profession. At a young age she loved investigating medical disorders and could be found reading medical dictionaries. Her philosophy for patient satisfaction is trust, and she strives to give patients what she would want her own family to receive. The words she lives by are “It is not quantity of life, but quality of life.”
Wanda has a young son named Jaxon and has been a proud military wife for 17 years. She enjoys walking, swimming, and traveling in her free time.
