Earl C. Wood, MD, is a board-certified Family Practice Physician in Seneca, SC. He has been practicing for more than 35 years. Prior to his career in medicine, Dr. Wood served in the US Army and the National Guard.
Dr. Wood attended medical school at The University of Louisville, and completed his residency at the Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon, GA.
He was the first board-certified and residency-trained Family Physician to practice in Kentucky’s capital city. He practiced in Frankfort from 1986 to 1988. In 2006, he received the Clinical Preceptor Award from the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Wood says he pursued a career in medicine in order to help others, and feels most fulfilled enabling patients to achieve their healthiest and most productive lives. He is passionate about providing individualized, respectful, and compassionate care—and treating all patients as if they are members of his own family. He credits his success and patient satisfaction to his ensuring all decisions about care are made in partnership with patients.
When he’s not at the office, Dr. Wood is happiest spending time with his family. Together, they enjoy boating, fishing, skiing, and visiting the beach. Dr. Wood is the proud grandfather of seven, ranging in age from seven to 18.
