Dwan Denk recently joined Partners in Primary Care in 2019 as an RN Care Coach bringing over 18 years of experience working within the healthcare field.
She graduated with her Associate’s degree in Applied Sciences from Excelsior College in Albany, New York and completed her residency in the U.S. Navy with specialties in emergency medicine, general surgery and oncology.
Dwan Denk is proud to be a US Navy Corpsman that has served her country while having the opportunity to provide care for her fellow service members on duty. Her experience in the Navy is what really drew her to choosing a career within the healthcare industry, because she witnessed firsthand how her passion for taking care of others can positively impact people’s lives. What Dwan enjoys most about her profession is that it gives her the opportunity to help her patients find their smile, as she provides them with a hand to hold or a shoulder to cry on when they are in a vulnerable place as they battle a sickness or health condition. Dwan believes that Partners in Primary Care’s patient-focused care model and multidisciplinary team approach provides her with the tools she needs to teach her patient’s how to better manage their conditions and live their best life. Each one of her patients are important to her, which is why she takes her time to listen to them and learn about their concerns, so that she can tailor her care plan to their specific needs.
During her free time, Dwan enjoys spending time with her 5 children and family, as well as dancing.
