Rita De Leon Williams joined Partners in Primary Care in 2019 as a Resource Specialty Social Worker, bringing over 15 years of experience working in the healthcare field with a specialty in Gerontology.
Rita attended The University of Oklahoma, where she graduated with her Master’s degree in Social Work and is a Board-Certified Licensed Master Social Worker.
Rita chose to follow her passion for helping others and decided to enter the healthcare industry to provide frontline services to patients and their families and help alleviate the social, financial and psychological hardships related to adverse health conditions. She believes that by taking the time to listen to her patients and understand their circumstances she’s better able to help them navigate life’s most challenging moments. This is why she chose to join the Partners’ family, because she values the multidisciplinary team and holistic approach they have when caring for their patients. Rita emphasizes the importance of having a positive relationship with her patients by making sure they always feel that they can openly confide in her as she guides and supports them through their health journey. She always makes sure to create an environment where her patients can feel comfortable; from the moment they arrive she greets them with smile, she observes their communication style and makes sure to explain things to them in a manner they’ll understand.
When she’s not at the office, Rita enjoys going on hikes and gardening, as well as spending quality time with her family and playing board games.
